Dinner Theater tickets on sale for "Seven Brides for Seven
Brothers" The tunes of "Bless your Beautiful Hide" and "Goin
Courtin" can be heard in the school music room and on the
gym stage as the cast rehearses scenes, songs, and dances
from the musical, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." The
Centerville Community Arts Council will present the popular
musical March 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and March 26 at 2:00
p.m. at the Centerville School Gold Gym. Tickets are $8.00
for adults and $6.00 for students and may be purchased at
the door.
There will also be a
dinner theatre performance on Saturday, March 25.Dinner
consisting of roast beef & gravy, mashed potatoes, corn and
apple pie squares will be served at 6:00 p.m. with the play
to follow. Tickets for the dinner theatre are $15.00 and
must BE PURCHASED BY MARCH 21. Tickets are on sale at First
Midwest Bank and the Centerville Library.
The cast for this
production includes Adam - Dean Knutson, Milly -Vonnie
Knutson, Brothers: Matt Nelson, Christopher Thomson, Reece
Evans, Justin Knutson, Greg Ostrem, Justin Schoepf, Brides:
Katie Shubeck, Alison Knutson, Krista Diercks, Courtney
Buechler, Callie DeBondt, Britt Foley, Suitors: Luke Martz,
Tyler Cunningham, Josh Rahn, Tyler Andersen, Raymond Adams,
Cody Hanssen, Mr. Bixby - Jeri Westra, Mrs. Bixby - Jo
Westra, Preacher - Steven Holmberg, Mr. Perkins - Gus
Miller, Mrs. Perkins - Deidra Rahn, and several supporting
townspeople and lumberjacks. "Seven Brides for Seven
Brothers" (book by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay, Lyrics
by Johnny Mercer, Music by Gene de Paul, based on the MGM
film and "The Sobbin Women" by Stephen Vincent Benet) is
presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre
International (MTI). All authorized performance materials
are also supplied by MTI, 421 West 54th Street, New York,
NY. The Centerville Rotary is providing special assistance
for the production. The dinner theatre is supplemented with
funds from Turner County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
#30624.
