The new Centerville website has been launched at:
www.centervillesd.org
Organized by the Centerville Economic Development
Committee with hosting fees paid for by the City of
Centerville, the website is designed for the promotion of
the community and to welcome new families to our community.
On the home page you will find links for our school,
businesses including local churches, fun and events, as well
as local weather and contact information.
Realtor contact information is located at the bottom of the
home page as well as on the business section to make it easy
for those looking to relocated to find the information they
need.
An events calendar is an important feature of the website.
If you have an event you would like listed just visit the
website and click on the “Contact” and then on the “Website
Development” links to email your information. You may also
contact the Centerville Journal at
journal@iw.net or
leave a message at our drop boxes in Total Stop and Coop 1
Stop and we¹ll not only include your event in the newspaper
calendar, we’ll make sure it gets on the website listing
also.
Photos of events, organizations, anything that promotes the
Centerville community may also be submitted.
The web page is constantly being updated as information is
gathered by designer and webmaster Steven Franker of
HUMIDITY Productions.
Franker, of rural Viborg, is the 17 year old son of Kevin
and Michelle
Franker. The Franker’s homeschool Steven and a his younger
brother, David, who is 8 years old. A 15 year-old sister,
Maria, attends Viborg High School.
“I have only recently got into web design, but I have been
working with computer graphics for several years now,” said
Franker.
“I have worked with my dad’s company, BHI Construction, to
create business brochures, handouts, and many virtual
pictures. I designed an ad for the Country Apple Orchard
with a distribution of over 32,000 copies in the Sioux Falls
paper. I have also designed the website for Dakota Ace
Hardware at:
www.dakotaacehardware.com.”
